Disruption - do you bring it?

According to Tony Robbins (click on picture to get to article), disruption is one of the most overused words in the business world. In Information Technology I hear it used all the time, but what does it mean?

I believe it means you are either a small company with not necessarily much to offer a customer except buzzwords, or, you are truly creating a market where none existed before.

It's also more about doing more for a client than anyone else can. And, if you can maintain the position for a long period of time, then you are 100% disruptive to the former incumbents around you. If you can combine this strategy with an innovative technology then you are well on your way to creating potentially changing models within your industry.
